One of the many benefits of thermal stores, is that the stored water is under no pressure - even though the hot water supplied is at mains pressures. This allows us to build rectangular storage tanks, rather than circular, making better use of space. The tanks can be surprisingly small when compared to cylinders of the same capacity. For example, take the 550 x 650mm tank and a cylinder 500mm diameter. The tank is only 60% the height of the cylinder. The following pictures show a fully assembled (as delivered) Heat Bank Thermal Store Pandora Tank, providing mains pressure hot water, and including all controls for a fully pumped and sealed heating system - just add basic boiler and rads!
