Please refer to specification

key to reference numbers.
- Connect the Solar Panels to the Heat Bank Thermal Store, connecting the flow to
the solar panel to the flow meter [54], and the hot return from the
panel to [51].
- Ensure all connecting pipework, as well as the solar panels, are
clear of air locks using air vents as appropriate.
- Flush all pipework.
- Check that the flow meter [54] is opened.
- Check isolating valve [4] next to the filling point [80] is open.
- Check the dosing pot connection [81] is closed.
- Connect a filling loop from a mains water supply to connection [80].
- Fill the solar system slowly to the required pressure, typically 1
bar. A GAUGE MUST
BE FITTED FOR THIS PURPOSE.
- Check that all air is properly vented from the system.
- Check that the system pressure holds at the desired pressure over a
period of at least 5 minutes. If the pressure drops continuously
the check for a leak.
- Turn on power to the solar controller.
- Set up the programmer as per instructions.
- Balance the flow rate of the solar system using the flow meter
[54]. Adjust to the required flow rate, typically 6 litres per
minute.
- When operation of the system has been checked, anti-freeze should be
added to the required level using the dosing pot connection and the
filling loop connection.
a) The dosing pot is connected between [81] and [80].
b) The dosing valve [81] should be opened, and isolating valve [4]
closed, to allow the pump to circulate water through the pot.
c) When all antifreeze has been introduced, close [81], open [48], and
disconnect the dosing pot.
d) Finally check that the correct system pressure is being maintained.
