A primary expansion vessel of at least 36 litres capacity, and with a 1 bar pre-charge pressure, must be connected to the return from the radiator circuit.  There must be no valves, either manual or automatic, between the store and the vessel.

Both units are fitted with an L18-28 plate heat exchanger for production of domestic hot water.  Each is capable of providing over 45 litres per minute of hot water, providing the mains water supply can keep up.

Should the mains water supply be unable to keep up, then some form of mains booster kit will also be required.

Additional spare bosses, as well as additional forms of protection against low pressure and low water level may be specified at extra cost.

It is important that SENTINEL X100 Inhibitor is used to protect the Heat Bank Thermal Store.  Use 1 litre per 100 litres of stored water. A suitable anti-freeze, such as X500, should also be added when there is a chance that the unit will be left filled and unheated in freezing conditions.
