Practika 28-33 cleaning function

The cleaning function on the Practika should be performed every 2-3 days as recommended in the manual (Section 12.3). It involves manually switching on the smoke exhaust fan at maximum revolutions for a period of time to help discharge residual ash from the heat exchangers.

The function can be enabled in one of two possible ways:

1) With the boiler switched off, press and hold button 'E' (top left on control panel) for two seconds. The fan will come on. After the required period, press button 'E' again to switch the fan off.

2) From the main menu go to Settings, then select Cleaning. Select On or Off as required.
