Electrical control of water supplies...

SV15
15mm Solenoid Valve
WRC Approved 9411036

The SV15 15mm Solenoid Valve provides a simple, reliable and inexpensive method of controlling water supplies, with the added advantage of electrical control.  The valve operates on a 240v 50/60Hz electrical supply as standard, however 110v 50/60Hz a.c., or 12v and 24v versions for both a.c. and d.c. electrical supplies are also available.

The SV15, although originally developed for use in clothes and dishwashers, is ideal for use in conjunction with an electrical Level Switch to control the feed into water storage tanks or feed & expansion tanks.

The electrical coil (shown above in yellow) may be easily removed, rotated and re-fitted to enable the cable to be taken in any direction.   The coil can also be changed to a different type without the need to isolate the water supply through the valve body.

Solenoid valves may be supplied with integral or external Flow Restrictors to limit the flow rate through the valve.

The valves are Fail-Safe, shutting off when the electrical supply is removed.

The valves are supplied with plastic nuts as standard, however these may be replaced with standard 15mm brass nuts if required.  The olives are hydrodynamic, requiring very little force to seal properly, and remove the need for jointing compounds.

Electrical connection is made using standard spade terminals connections.  Soldered connection can also be made if required.

Electrically insulating & splash-proof rubber cover.

A specially moulded rubber cover allows the solenoid valve to be safely used in domestic installations where exposed mains voltage connections could prove hazardous. The cover seals against both the body of the solenoid valve and around the connecting cable, and provides internal space for spade terminal connectors to be used.  The cover is made from flexible rubber and may be easily fitted and removed.
